Valextra is a brand the Daily Deb loves so much for their finest and designed bags. Founding in 1937 by the Fontana family who was a quintessential milanese embeded in jetset lifestylebut also in industrial design revolution and obsessed by the product beauty and functionality.
Valextra had become very popular in the 50’s because of celebrities asking for custom-made handbags and travel cases. The brand has a long history concerning the evolution of the shape of their bags.
A typical Milanese house drawing its history from an Italian master craftsman. It is a brand that has everything to be adopted currently by its light weight, its graphic silhouette and pure lines that refer directly to the aesthetics of the house. You can’t be wrong.

Design and architecture of different periods past and currents have been strong point of references.
-What distinguish Valextra of its competitors ?
We’re not a Fashion House. We build consistently our story through identity and roots.
-Who is the Valextra woman ?
She’s a confident doer and an enthusiast with a strong sense of style.
-Is there a Valextra’s it-bag ?
We have several strong bags, the most iconic is Iside and Brera and now we have just launched the Serie S.
-Who are resellers of Valextra today ?
We’re a specialized brand and our focus is and always will be, since 1937, luxurious leather goods wonders.
-Who buy Valextra’s bag these days ?
Everyone who loves sharp beautiful craft bags. Modern sophisticated people well-traveled and confident.
-This year, Valextra opened a boutique in Hong Kong what was the purpose of this new project ?
We opened our first store in HK in Dec.2014, since 2017 we’re in china and we wanted to be in the Kowloon area. We wanted also to offer a designed store as all the main new stores we have developed since 2015, and we chose our friend and fantastic arty designer Max Lamb.
-What are you plans for the future?
Try to deliver every day the best of what we can do and share what we like. It’s a long journey. A Marathon, not a 100 meters run
